He is also a Commonwealth Games gold medallist with the Blitzboks and a bronze medallist from the 2016 Rio Olympics.ALSO READ: Senatla – Open and honestHowever, after tasting as much success as he could in the shortened form of rugby, Senatla recently turned his attention to 15s, playing for the Stormers and Western Province on a more regular basis to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming a Springbok.Senatla, along with Stormers teammate and fellow convert Ruhan Nel, are back training with the Blitzboks and are set to play in the first two Sevens Series tournaments in Dubai and Cape Town in December. However, Dobson confirmed that the wing would be back and play for the Stormers on a full-time basis during next season’s Vodacom Super Rugby tournament.‘We have got Angelo Davids, Ruhan and Seabelo,’ Dobson said on the Stormers players who are also part of the Blitzboks squad.  ‘Angelo is staying with the Sevens for the whole season, Seabelo and Ruhan will join us at our pre-season camp after the Cape Town Sevens. Seabelo will be with us full-time. If he gets selected, Ruhan will go to the Olympics and miss the Super Rugby playoffs.’While Senatla has struggled to make a similar mark in 15s to what he has done in sevens, Dobson added that Senatla’s fire to make his conversion a success still burns brightly.‘Seabelo is absolutely convinced that he can become a Springbok. That is his focus. He is actually discounting quite a bit in terms of wages to be able to do that. I hope he makes it. He is really keen.’Photo: Nigel Owen/Action Plus via Getty Images ‘ World Cup-winning Bok quartet in Eddie Jones’ all-time XVMaverick coach Eddie Jones has named his Test dream team made up of players he has worked with throughout his illustrious career.SA Rugby MagUndoDatemyage.comOver 40 And Single?Datemyage.com|SponsoredSponsoredUndoGoGoPeak10 Most Beautiful Cities You Should Visit Once In Your LifetimeGoGoPeak|SponsoredSponsoredUndoBuzzAura16 Cancer Causing Foods You Probably Eat Every DayBuzzAura|SponsoredSponsoredUndoLoans | Search AdsGetting a loan in Hong Kong may be easier than you thinkLoans | Search Ads|SponsoredSponsoredUndoBuzzSuperDetails About Meghan Markle’s Wedding Will Leave You SpeechlessBuzzSuper|SponsoredSponsoredUndo 熱門話題小心會瘦過快…網友推爆:「真的瘦的超誇張!」熱門話題|SponsoredSponsoredUndo Seabelo Senatla runs in to score a try ‘center_img Buzz TreatmentRemember Grace Jones? Man facing federal charges over 23-year-old woman found dead in his car

first_imgReleased by Boston Police(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) — A Rhode Island man is facing federal kidnapping charges for allegedly abducting a young woman who was found dead in his car.Louis Coleman III, 32, of Providence, Rhode Island, faces one count of kidnapping, which resulted in the death of Jassy Correia, a 23-year-old Massachusetts woman last seen leaving a Boston nightclub, authorities said on Sunday.Correia, who has a 2-year-old daughter, was last seen Feb. 24 leaving Venue Nightclub, where she was celebrating her birthday. Her body was found in a suitcase in the trunk of a car stopped by police on a Delaware highway last week.Investigators said she was seen getting into a car with a man later identified by police as Coleman.“The interstate kidnapping resulting in death is the most applicable charge and carries the highest possible sentence. It’s a mandatory life charge and a death-eligible charge,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said.Police searched Coleman’s Rhode Island apartment last week and obtained surveillance that appeared to show him entering the building carrying a body wrapped in a blanket, authorities said.“I can’t tell you how upsetting this is,” Boston Police Commissioner William Gross told ABC Boston affiliate WCVB-TV. “No family should ever, ever have to go through this.”Correia’s cousin, Katia Depina, said at a news conference last week that the family was “all devastated by what happened.”“She did not deserve this. She went out to celebrate her birthday and never returned home,” Depina said. “We want justice for her death.”Coleman was arrested Thursday and was held at a jail in Delaware. He’s expected to make an initial appearance in federal court later Monday. It’s unclear whether he’s retained an attorney. Copyright © 2019, ABC Radio. All rights reserved.last_img read more

Let couples divorce amicably, family law body urges politicians

first_imgNigel ShepherdSource: Resolution According to research conducted by Resolution, nine in ten practitioners believe divorce law needs to be modernised to allow for no-fault divorce. A YouGov poll conducted in February shows that almost seven in ten people agree that no-fault divorce should be available.Shepherd says current legislation does not encourage couples to divorce amicably. ‘People often have to cite unreasonable behaviour or adultery on the divorce petition. This leads to unnecessary conflict, makes an amicable separation less likely, and reduces the chances of reaching agreement on children and financial issues,’ he adds.Shepherd cites the recent Owens v Owens case to illustrate why reform is urgently needed. ‘It is simply wrong that in 2017 anyone can be forced to remain in a marriage that they no longer wish to be in,’ he says.Politicians are reminded that no-fault divorce has been legislated before, in the Family Law Act 1996. Scotland, Australia, several US states, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden have divorce without blame.Resolution proposes that the parties adopt a policy that would enable a divorce to be finalised where one or both parties to a marriage give notice that their marriage has broken down irretrievably, and one or both of them remain of that view after six months. Separating couples would be supported by information to help them explore their options. The parties are also urged to commit to providing legal rights for cohabiting couples, who represent nearly 10% of the UK population.Resolution proposes a legal framework of rights and responsibilities when unmarried couples who live together split up. This would also secure ‘fair outcomes’ when couples separate or one partner dies.Cohabitants who meet certain eligibility criteria indicating a committed relationship would have a right to apply for certain financial orders if they separate. This right would be automatic unless the couple chooses to ‘opt out’.Ensuring fair access to the legal system, Resolution believes funding should be provided for free initial advice for people of limited means, to help them identify their options on separation and divorce, helping them to put the needs of any children first, and ensure they are better informed at the start of the process.Shepherd also calls for greater clarity over the legal status of pre- and post-nuptial agreements, which are currently not enforceable in courts in England and Wales. The time has come to end the divorce blame game, the head of a family law group has told politicians, urging them to allow couples to officially part ways amicably. In a letter to the major political parties ahead of next month’s general election, Nigel Shepherd, chair of Resolution, urges them to commit to no-fault divorce in their manifestos. #*#*Show Fullscreen*#*#last_img read more

Legislature to Overrule Federal Law?

first_img“The pendulum has swung too far too long in favor of the federal government; it’s past time that it swings back,” said Hughes. “We can continue to send resolutions to the president and Congress, and it is important to make our voice heard, but because prior resolutions have not yet halted overreach, this is an actionable step we can take to restore the proper balance and strengthen our state sovereignty. It’s time for the Alaska State Legislature to not just speak up, but to step up.” Representative Shelley Hughes of Palmer introduced a pair of resolutions seeking to restore the balance of power between the states and federal government and strengthen state sovereignty by providing states with veto (countermand) power over federal decisions not in their best interest through a precise and careful mechanism established by an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. FacebookTwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享House and Senate committees plan to hear resolutions calling for a convention of the states to adopt a “countermand” amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The amendment would authorize states, upon a vote of three-fifths of state legislatures, to veto a federal law, executive order, judicial decision or other federal action seen as impinging upon state sovereignty.last_img read more

Following a successful robotics test of OSHbot at one of the company’s Orchard Supply Hardware stores, LoweBot will roll out in phases over a seven-month period beginning in September in San Jose, Calif., and will further explore how robots can meet the needs of both customers and employees.“For nearly two years, we’ve studied how robots in our San Jose Orchard Supply Hardware store can help customers more effectively navigate the store to find products and assist employees with inventory scanning,” said Kyle Nel, executive director of Lowe’s Innovation Labs, the company’s disruptive innovation hub. “Now, we are taking those learnings and applying them to a focused group of Lowe’s stores to see how the technology supports a broader customer and employee base.”LoweBot will add a layer of support to amplify the trusted advice of Lowe’s employees as it helps customers with simple questions, enabling more time for employees to focus on delivering project expertise and personalized service. Having the ability to scan inventory and capture real-time data with LoweBot will also help detect patterns or gaps that will ultimately influence business decisions.- Sponsor – As an omni-channel home improvement company, Lowe’s is working relentlessly to shape the future of retail and deliver simpler and more seamless interactions with its customers. Limited Debate to Resume in Senate on Authorization Bill

first_imgSenate debate on the fiscal 2016 defense authorization bill is expected to continue Tuesday after little movement last week and votes on only a handful of amendments.  On Thursday, Armed Services Chair John McCain (R-Ariz.) told reporters the bill was now “unstuck” and he hoped the Senate would debate a number of amendments before moving to final passage. Lawmakers eventually agreed to hold votes on two amendments tomorrow.Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) filed a procedural motion Thursday to allow him to cut off debate on the annual defense policy measure, S. 1376; that vote is expected Tuesday, reported the Hill. Democrats earlier blocked a move by McConnell to attach a cybersecurity bill to the underlying measure. Dan Cohen AUTHORlast_img read more
