Antonio Conte will quit Chelsea before next season, says ex-Premier League boss

first_imgAntonio Conte is unlikely to be Chelsea manager next season, believes former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp.Reports on Friday suggested the Blues boss could be preparing for life without Conte – with Luis Enrique and Massimiliano Allegri lined up to replace him.When asked by Alan Brazil and Mike Parry on The Warm Up if the Italian will be in the Stamford Bridge dugout next season, Redknapp said: “Long term? No.“Listen, I think he’s done fantastic and I like him.“I just think at the end of the year, personally, I’d be surprised if he is still there next season.”During his press conference on Friday, Conte only further increased speculation he could quit.“I have another year of [my] contract with this club,” he said.“But as you know very well everything is possible. In one moment you stay here, in another moment another person replaces you in your job.”Asked if he would extend his contract with Chelsea, Conte added: “In this case, I think the club has to decide to send me away.”last_img read more
